Easy way to be happy - give

Last weekend we had visitors come from Florida. We are long time friends Bob (husband will turn 70 years old) and Haixiang (wife is 60 years old).

We went a trip to Harpers Ferry. When we reached to the gate to show our tickets (annual national park pass) I noticed a sign said one dollar bill is appreciated, so Bob took a dollar bill from his wallet then gave it to park ranger, the park ranger told him I do not take donation here if you want you can go to in side of the park there is a place you can make donations.
Then we got inside the park to visitor center, he still did not forget his one dollar bill. He gave the one dollar bill to the staff who worked there. I can tell the work stuff don't want to take the dollar bill but don't want to hurt his feelings. Later I figured it out that the one dollar bill is appreciated mean if you purchase ticket, we need one dollar bills to make changes.
But the bottom line is he is so happy by make a dollar donation.

Then we took the bus to the historical site. The day was hot and the bus was full. Few people were standing. He stranded up from his seat and gave his seat to a lady who much younger than him (half his age).
I saw in every bus, there is statement in the front seat said senior or disabled people.
So, the conclusion is his mind is a lot younger then his biological age. He bought happiness with a dollar - inexpensive - good deal.

In real world how many smart people missed this kind deal.

We had great time.
